We are so glad that we were finally able to make a YouTube tutorial! We really wanted to offer some advice on a topic related to beauty, and the idea of explaining how to clean brushes came up. It is a pretty universal topic, and we feel that anyone can learn from such tips. Plus, we even threw a little DIY in the video so you can challenge your inner creativity! 😉
Here it is!
Some additional information:
- If you use your brushes on a regular basis, consider cleaning them every 2-3 weeks. You can wait a bit longer if your don’t use your brushes daily.
- If you have acne or any skin problem (temporary or permanent), you might want to wash your face brushes (mostly your foundation brush) more regularly, in order to avoid spreading bacterias.
- Some people like to use conditioner on their brushes after they’ve cleaned them. I personally don’t do it, because it’s an extra step, but if you like your bristles to be extra soft, go ahead!
- It is while cleaning brushes that you’ll realize another important difference between cheap brushes and expensive ones: cheaper brushes tend to break more easily when washed (the glue dissolves or dries too much) and bristles come off easily.
