Hard Candy metallic mousse matte lip colour queen of hearts and truffle review swatch

Hard Candy Metallic Mousse Matte Metallic Lip Color in “Queen Of Hearts” and “Truffle” | Review

Hello and Hello! It’s been a while I haven’t written a review of a particular beauty product. This post is a review of Hard Candy’s Metallic Mousse Matte Lip Color in the shades “Queen Of Hearts” and “Truffle”. Early this summer, the trend of sparkly lip products and metallic finish lipsticks were starting to be trendy and I was super captivated by the finish and the effect it gives! I remember that Colourpop released their Ultra Metallic Lip collection and they immediately went out of stock right after they released it. I mean… who doesn’t like sparkly things?! I waited and waited, because there weren’t many shades that screamed my name since most of them are in the darker shades. At the beginning of the month, I went to my local Wal-Mart for some errands, and of course, as always, I had to linger in the makeup aisles like a creep. I always wanted to try Hard Candy because of their captivating packaging design and presentation.

How to Make Your Own Lipstick Palette

Hi lovelies! Being a makeup addict or a freelance makeup artist (or both, like me!) is tough, not only on the wallet, but also on the space it requires. In fact, a big concern for us is “how do I fit ALL my makeup in a minimum of space?”. Well there are a few tips and tricks that have proven to be useful, and here is one: fit your plethora of lipsticks into a palette (or palettes hehe)!! Before buying an empty lipstick palette, I shopped online and found this one. Perfect size and reasonable price: I bought 3 of them! Then, when came the time to actually put my lipsticks in my new palettes, I wasn’t sure of the technique to use, and I stumbled upon this video, made by the respected Youtuber/makeup artist Wayne Goss:

Shop Miss A Makeup Nails Haul

Obsessed With: !

Last month we have discovered a very COOL site where you can buy makeup, accessories, makeup tools, nail polishes, all those goodies that fall under the beauty umbrella for 1$ USD. Yes, 1 DOLLARRR! So basically, around 1,30$ CAD. And also we call it a double haul because we both purchased things separately from ShopMissA. We have already tried out a few things and we will leave our review on different posts, so stay tuned! Before starting off talking about the things we bought, here are some of our thoughts on general points:

Dior Lip Glow Colour Reviver Balm Review

Revive Your Natural Lips with Dior’s Addict Lip Glow?

Talking about magic, you all! Last month, I got this wonderful gift, something that I’ve never experienced before and never heard of before! This Dior Addict Lip Glow is very magical and I think it is worth to share with you what I have to say about this lipstick. The Dior Addict Lip Glow is a balm to hydrate your lips and revive your natural lip colour. The line comes in 2 shades, in sheer natural pink and sheer coral pink. The one I received is in sheer natural pink. When you apply it, it gives a very beautiful and natural shine.

Birthstone Beauty July Edition Ruby

Birthstone Beauty: July Edition

July’s birthstone is the ruby, and is said to guarantee many great things such as success in love. Maybe that’s why red is associated to love, and why red lips are so fascinating… More info about the gem here. Image from here. For this look I was inspired by 1950’s Hollywood glam, which is what a ruby makes me think of. I adapted the look to the season: dewey skin, matte eyeshadows, etc. Overall, it’s a minimalist look, with a strong focus on the ruby-coloured lips. It is very easy to recreate, and any woman, no matter her age, can pull off this look. I think every woman should focus on her most beautiful/favourite assets when doing her makeup. For this look, the lips are very bright, but the bold brows are also very present and the skin is very natural-looking. Eyes: After applying primer on my lids, I used MAC’ eyeshadow in “brulĂ©” all over the lid.  I then applied different eyeshadows from Smashbox’s On the Rocks palette: “marzipan” as a highlight on the brow bone, …
